Ketamine Infusion Therapy is a new-age approach using FDA approved methods to help restore life function to those suffering from treatment-resistant depression, chronic pain, and a variety of other conditions using the decades-old, safe and effective drug – Ketamine.
Patients suffering from Treatment-Resistant Depression are those who have tried at least 2 or more anti-depressants without experiencing relief. When given a low dose administered by a trained medical professional, Ketamine has proven to rapidly relieve symptoms in even the most severely depressed and chronic pain patients that haven’t responded to other forms of medications and/or therapy.
Most insurances accepted.
On the day of your procedure, you are not allowed to eat anything for 8 hours prior but you may continue to have a small number of clear liquids (water, coffee without cream or sugar, tea, etc.) for up to 2 hours prior to your infusion.
Take time to thoroughly review the information and resources found on this website. If you feel like you or a loved one would benefit from Ketamine Infusion Therapy, Contact Klarity to begin the process. In as little as a few days, you could be on your way to experience the relief you previously thought was impossible.
Upon contacting Klarity, Dr. Reed will call you to discuss your condition and answer any questions you may have. You will then be asked to fill out a few forms and sign a release, giving Klarity permission to contact your current mental healthcare provider.
When the decision is made to proceed with treatment, your first infusions will be scheduled.
Payment in advance is required. At this time, most insurances do not cover Ketamine Infusion Therapy for depression.
Treatment is initiated with 6 infusions given over a 2 week time period – typically following a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule (a different protocol will be set up for chronic pain patients). Upon completion of the 3rd infusion, an assessment will be performed to ensure you are responding and should continue with the therapy. Research has indicated an astounding 70% of treatment-resistant depression patients experience relief and functional improvement.
During this process, and throughout your care with Klarity, Dr. Reed will update and consult with your primary mental healthcare provider and you will continue to follow their guidance.
During your initial period of relief you may be able to make life changes that help manage depression symptoms when they return, although it is likely that ongoing maintenance infusions will be required to maintain the positive results. For most patients, follow-up infusions are necessary every 4-6 weeks after the initial infusions are completed.
